Microsoft is spreading holiday cheer by gifting select Xbox console owners, PC users, and Xbox Cloud Gaming subscribers with surprise $10 digital gift cards. The unexpected rewards, appearing automatically in user accounts, are part of a broader initiative by the tech giant to show appreciation for its gaming community.
According to reports surfacing on Reddit, the digital cards are being distributed without prior announcement, creating a pleasant surprise for many players. The company’s gesture acknowledges the dedication of its users, thanking them for “a world of legendary games, unforgettable adventures and endless entertainment.”
How to Claim Your Microsoft Gift Card
The received voucher, visually represented by a laurel and card icon, can be found within the “offers” section of the Xbox account menu. Users have the flexibility to redeem the $10 credit immediately or save it for future purchases. This allows gamers to choose between acquiring a new game, downloadable content (DLC), in-game currency, or a subscription to services like Xbox Game Pass.
The gift card is valid until December 31, 2025, providing ample time for redemption. Once activated, the funds can be utilized in either the Microsoft Store or the Xbox digital store.
Limited-Time Promotion for Select Users
While not all players will receive a gift card, Microsoft is targeting a select group of users with this promotion. The company encourages all account holders to check their offers section to see if they are among the lucky recipients. For many, this unexpected gift arrives as a welcome bonus leading into the winter season.
This initiative underscores Microsoft’s commitment to fostering a positive relationship with its gaming audience and providing added value to its ecosystem.
