A French couple who, according to police, wanted to “sacrifice” their five-year-old son in the Sahara were arrested in southern Spain. The two Frenchmen wanted to murder their little boy “in the Sahara” “because they believed he was possessed,” the Spanish Civil Guard announced on Saturday.
According to the information, the couple was arrested on December 21st in the southern Spanish port city of Algeciras when they wanted to take a car ferry with the child to Tangier in Morocco. The parents had “psychiatric problems” and were already wanted by a European arrest warrant for “kidnapping a minor,” the Spanish police said. The couple was taken into custody in Spain.
