French President Emmanuel Macron, who is on a state visit to China, met Prime Minister Li Qiang in the capital Beijing today.
Emmanuel Macron, who has gone to China with a 50-member business delegation, is scheduled to meet President Xi Jinping today. He will be accompanied by European Union President Ursula van der Leyen to meet the Chinese president.
Macron and the EU leader have said China must use its influence over Russia to bring peace to Ukraine or prevent China from supporting Russia directly.
