Wipro’s 77-year-old Asim Premji, who has been the top donor for the past two years, has been pushed to second place in 2022. Through his foundation, he donated Rs. 484 crore has been provided.

Sushmita and Subroto Bakshi along with Radha and NS Parthasarathy stood fifth with donations of Rs 425 crore to the Indian Institute of Science (IISc). The institute has helped build an 800-bed multi-specialty hospital and a post-graduate medical school. This is the largest private donation ever received by the Indian Institute of Science. Both Subrotho and Parthasarathy are co-founders of Mindtree.
