This full moon yoga practice offers a pathway to channel pent-up emotions into movement, breath, and ultimately, release. As the lunar cycle reaches its peak, this is a potent time for illumination, self-awareness, and letting go of what no longer serves your highest good.

This sequence, designed to clear away stagnation and create space for growth, utilizes poses that encourage focus and direction. Throughout the practice, practitioners are invited to visualize basking in the moonlight, absorbing its energy, and honoring their inner selves.

Preparing for Your Practice

The flow incorporates a balancing pose, so having one or two yoga blocks readily available is recommended. Position one block at the front and another at the back of your mat before beginning. For those seeking a gentle warm-up, poses like Reclined Hand-to-Big-Toe Pose and Downward-Facing Dog can be incorporated beforehand.

Reverse Warrior (viparita Virabhadrasana)

Flip your front palm to face the sky, maintaining the bend in your front knee. Reach your back arm toward your back leg, opening your chest and deepening the side stretch. Hold for 2 breaths.

Extended Side Angle Pose (Utthita Parsvakonasana)

Triangle Pose (Trikonasana)
