Former Australian cricketer Shane Warne has died of a heart attack last Friday while on holiday in Thailand. His sudden death has shocked cricket fans around the world. Warne, 52, is one of only two bowlers to take more than a thousand wickets in international cricket.
Doctors say he has been following a strict diet to reduce his obesity and has only taken liquid foods for the past 2 weeks and continued smoking may have led to a heart attack. The autopsy report stated that his death was natural and could not be ruled out.
In this condition Warne’s body is being flown to Melbourne today on a separate flight from Thailand. His family is scheduled to hold a private funeral next week.
It has been reported that the Victorian provincial government is arranging for Priya to say goodbye to him with state honors at the famous Melbourne Stadium on the 30th that follows. More than one lakh fans are expected to gather to pay homage to their cricket hero.
