(ANSA) – TRIESTE, APRIL 26 – The emergency room in Udine, “the largest in the region”, “is at risk of collapse”. The secretariat of the Aaroi Emac of Friuli Venezia Giulia reported it in a note.
The association of anesthesiologists and resuscitators highlights “the dramatic worsening situation in the emergency rooms of the central Friuli university health authority”. In particular, the Aaroi Emac refers to the “flash resignation of the director of the emergency room” of Udine a few months ago, which is now followed by “also the resignation of her acting colleague”, “which highlights the unsustainability of this aberrant situation. Shifts exhausting due to lack of management of company flows, more than half of the medical staff resigned in the last year, residual staff absolutely insufficient for the volumes of activity and increasingly less valued and loyal, entry of cooperatives and token operators completely decontextualized from the company reality”, “operators in burn out, high rate of stress-related absences, are now inducing even the last remaining heroic doctors, yet another victims of a system in total disarray, to leave Asufc”.
“We express maximum solidarity with the colleague who resigned – we read in the note – maximum solidarity and total support for colleagues who resist and we request the immediate resignation of those who are the cause of this umpteenth failed result”.
