The Dodecanese Member of Parliament of PASOK and Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Giorgos Nikitiadis met with the Mayor of Rhodes, Mr. Alexandros Koliadis, at noon on Thursday, May 9, as part of his tour of the Dodecanese.
During the working meeting in which the President of the Municipal Council Kyriakos Kasapis, the Deputy Mayor Konstantinos Chalkias and the president of DERMAE Valantis Lampis participated, a fruitful dialogue was developed on the basis of the support of the issues that concern the Municipality of Rhodes and its further development. Mr. Nikitiadis reiterated his intention to support any actions that strengthen Rhodes and the Dodecanese in general, he made reference to his actions within the Parliament in the context of the parliamentary control that had Rhodes as a point of reference and pledged that he would continue to support the island based on its institutional role.
For his part, the Mayor of Rhodes, Mr. Koliadis, warmly welcomed Mr. Nikitiadis and he also referred to the parliamentary activity of the Dodecanese Member of Parliament, which has as its denominator the support of insularity and of Rhodes. At the same time, Mr. Koliadis underlined that he will be in an “open line” with the Deputy Minister for the promotion of issues that concern Rhodes.
