In Gadebusch (Northwest Mecklenburg district) more than 12,000 euros in donations were collected at a benefit football tournament on Saturday. That is the highest amount in the past ten years of the tournament, according to the organizer, PSV Gadebusch. The money is used to support children with cancer and their families. For example, laptops are needed so that the children in the hospital can continue to study. In the worst case, a funeral will also be paid for, said Peter Clemens, chairman of the “Association for the Promotion of Children at the Schwerin Children’s Hospital and the Mecklenburg Children’s Center”. Some families cannot afford this.
