International School Student Dies After Fall in Gading Serpong; Police Investigate
A tragic incident at an international school in Gading Serpong, Tangerang Regency, has left a community reeling after an eighth-grade student died following a fall from the school building on Monday, November 3, 2025. The incident first surfaced on the social media platform Threads, with a post from the account @madam_indonesia on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, detailing conversations among residents from Gading Serpong, BSD, and Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK). “Today mothers from Gading Serpong, BSD to PIK are busy discussing the death of an 8th grade student at P** school,” the post read, reflecting the growing concern within the area. Initial reports circulating online also included allegations of a malfunctioning CCTV** system.
However, authorities swiftly refuted claims that the school’s surveillance system was not operational. A senior official from the South Tangerang Police Criminal Investigation Unit confirmed that CCTV footage had been secured as part of the ongoing investigation. “We have secured the CCTV at the school to investigate the events that occurred at the time of the incident,” the official stated to Kompas.com on Wednesday, November 5, 2025. Police indicate the 13-year-old male student fell from the eighth floor of the building. First responders found the student alive at the scene, and he was immediately transported to a local hospital. Despite medical intervention, the student was later pronounced dead.
A joint team from the South Tangerang Police, Kelapa Dua Police, and the INAFIS Team conducted a thorough crime scene investigation beginning at 10:46 WIB. A police line was established in the school lobby, where the victim was discovered, and damage to a canopy suggests the point of impact.
