The President of the Nationwide Olympic Committee of Armenia, Gagik Tsarukyan, met with the athletes and coaches of the Armenian youth wrestling group, the NAOC information service studies.
RA Minister of Sports activities and Youth Affairs Levon Vahradyan, Deputy Ministers Gabriel Ghazaryan and Sargis Avagyan, in addition to Chief of Workers Vahe Eloyan have been current on the assembly.
Minister Vahradyan joined Gagik Tsarukyan’s congratulations to the Armenian athletes on the event of the medals they gained on the European Youth Wrestling Championship held in Rome and thanked the President of the NAOC for his fixed assist for each wrestling and different sports activities, cheering up the athletes and appreciating their sports activities achievements.
Let’s remind that within the 2018 European Youth Wrestling Championship, the Armenian youth wrestling groups in Greco-Roman and freestyle wrestling gained the third place within the group calculation.
Arsen Harutyunyan (57 kg), Vazgen Tevanyan (61 kg), Hovhannes Maghakyan (125 kg) and Greco-Roman wrestler Tigran Minasyan (55 kg) turned European champions. Bronze medal winners of the championship have been freestyle wrestlers: 65 kg Gegham Galstyan and 70 kg Arman Andriasyan, in addition to Greco-Roman wrestlers: 60 kg Ararat Manucharyan, 72 kg Malkhas Amoyan, 77 kg Vahe Poghosyan and 130 kg Davit Ovasapyan. :
