Gautam Adani has been added to the list of Asia’s richest people with a net worth of around Rs 7 lakh 60 billion ($ 100 billion).
Gautam Adani, chairman of the Adani Group, is the richest man in Asia with assets worth about Rs 7 lakh crore. Gautam Adani is ranked 10th in the list of the world’s top 10 richest people by the likes of Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos. Reliance Industries chairman Ambani has been pushed to 11th position.
According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, Gautam Adani is also an Indian businessman with a net worth of $ 100 billion (Rs 7 lakh crore) or more.
Tesla’s Elon Musk continues to be the world’s richest man with a net worth of $ 273 billion, followed by Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos with a net worth of $ 188 billion.
Mukesh Ambani and Gautam Adani topped Mark Zuckerberg’s list of the richest people in Asia in February last year.
Gautam Adani added $ 23.5 billion to his net worth last year alone, as his asset value began to soar after focusing on the infrastructure sector not only in India but in various parts of the world. At the same time, Ambani is beginning to fall short of its net worth of $ 99 billion.
Gautam Adani, 59, is the chairman of the Adani Group, which specializes in ports, mines and natural gas. Ambani, who is currently the richest man in Asia, also owns Reliance Industries and the world’s largest oil refinery.
