“Gazprom-Armenia” CJSC (a subsidiary of Gazprom Energy Holding) plans to invest more than 148.92 billion drams in Armenia in 2024-2028. The issue of approving the energy company’s investment program is included in the agenda of the December 20 session of the Armenian Public Services Regulatory Commission.

According to the plan, in particular, it is planned to:

to invest more than 56.6 billion drams for the expansion, restoration and reconstruction of the gas transport system;

more than 25.11 billion drams for the expansion, restoration and reconstruction of the Abovyan underground gas storage facility;

more than 20 billion drams to provide additional capacity of Yerevan’s gas transportation system;

“Gazprom-Armenia” CJSC, a 100% subsidiary of the Russian holding company “Gazprom”, is a monopoly supplier of natural gas from Russia to Armenia for domestic consumption. The supply is carried out in transit through the territory of Georgia, the price of Russian gas at the border is 165 dollars per 1 thousand cubic meters.
