As Vedomosti found out, Gazprom may enter the capital of the domestic manufacturer of luxury cars Aurus. Three sources familiar with the shareholders of the automobile company know about this. The timing of the deal is not known to the interlocutors, but a fundamental decision regarding it has already been made at the government level, says one of them.
According to another source, the deal will be cash because Aurus needs investment to develop its automobile project. Neither the size of the share that Gazprom can receive nor its cost is known to it. The third interlocutor notes that the gas monopoly can receive up to 40% of the automaker from its largest shareholder – the state institute FSUE NAMI, subordinate to the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
