Gegham Gevorgyan, the Chairman of the Competition Protection Commission, hosted Bakhit Sultanov, a member of the board of the Eurasian Economic Commission for Competition and Antimonopoly Regulation (Minister), who arrived in Yerevan on a working visit.
During the meeting, a wide range of issues related to the current and future directions of development of cooperation in the field of economic competition within the framework of the membership of the Eurasian Economic Union were discussed. In particular, the parties referred to the improvement of the EAEU legal contract base, including the formation of a new antimonopoly compliance mechanism, related to the law enforcement sector, digitalization of information collection and other issues.
The interlocutors also exchanged ideas on the agenda of the “5+1” format consultation of the heads of competent bodies of the EAEU member states and the member (minister) of the EEC Competition and Antimonopoly Regulation Collegium to be held in Moscow in February 2023, as well as discussing the possibility of organizing a meeting for business representatives in Yerevan.
