The 2024 East Kalimantan Governor and Deputy Governor Election (Pilgub Kaltim) is getting closer.
The political map in East Kalimantan shows that two key generations, namely millennials and Gen Z, will be the determining factors in the voting results in the 2024 Pilkada.
From the initial research results of the Millennium Society Research Institute (LPMM), surprising facts were revealed that the votes of voters from these two generations were very dominant.
Voters from generation Z and millennials make up around 61 percent of the total voters in East Kalimantan, making them not just decision makers, but game changers in the East Kalimantan gubernatorial election this time.
This very comprehensive survey involved 1,500 respondents, consisting of 600 Gen Z respondents and 900 millennial respondents, spread proportionally throughout the East Kalimantan region.
Sampling was carried out using the cluster sampling method in the period 2-12 September 2024, with a margin of error of ±2.53 percent, and a confidence level of 95 percent.
While the data was collected through face-to-face interviews and questionnaires, resulting in one of the most reliable and credible political surveys in the 2024 gubernatorial election.
“The survey results revealed important findings: the candidate pair Rudy Mas’ud – Seno Aji dominated the vote among Gen Z and millennials,” said LPMM Executive Director Alamsyah Wijaya in his statement, Saturday (14/9).
