Singer Nabi Announces Second Child Will Be a Daughter
A popular South Korean singer, Nabi, has revealed she is expecting a daughter, sharing teh joyous news during a recent radio appearance. The proclamation, made on the MBC Radio program “2 O’Clock Date, This is Ahn Young-mi” on Thursday, October 31, 2025, followed a previous announcement last week regarding her second pregnancy.
Nabi recounted the enthusiastic public response to her pregnancy reveal, noting it “was posted on the main page of a portal site.” She shared details of a gender reveal event, playfully naming her baby “Berry” – and confirming Berry is a girl, or a daughter.
The singer described a heartwarming, yet initially surprising, reaction from her husband. “I filmed it for YouTube, and when I told my husband that it was my son during the gender reveal, his expression hardened,” Nabi explained. “It was obvious that he was sad on the inside, but when I told him that it was my daughter, he shouted three cheers.”
The conversation then broadened to include reflections on gender expectations and parental hopes. Another individual shared a personal anecdote, stating, “I had Taeyang decide the gender of my second child. When I found out the gender, I was actually hoping for a girl, but I was very upset. After giving birth, he started acting like a girl. He has a lot of charm, and now I like it. for a boy, he has a lot of charm.” This highlights the evolving nature of parental expectations and the joy found in unexpected outcomes.
Nabi concluded by expressing a wish for her second child to resemble her, adding, “My first child has a lot of my father’s face. I hope my second child has a lot of me.”
