General Cherry Advances Sweetheart Recon Drone to Coding Stage

Ukrainian manufacturer General Cherry has advanced its fixed-wing Sweetheart reconnaissance drone to the coding stage following an exhibition in London, opening the door for future international exports once development finishes.

The progression of the fixed-wing Sweetheart reconnaissance drone marks a technological step forward for the Ukrainian unmanned aerial systems manufacturer. The company showcased its aviation lineup at the DroneX 2026 exhibition, held in London from September 29 to 30. While physical models of the Sweetheart were not placed directly on the stand, executives provided concrete updates regarding its development status and operational parameters.

Once the coding phase concludes, international distribution channels will open for interested foreign buyers. Prior statements from the manufacturer scheduled the Sweetheart’s public introduction for the final quarter of 2026, paired alongside another fixed-wing design designated for strike missions called the Baby Cloud.

Sweetheart Aircraft Offers Deep Reconnaissance Capabilities

Co-founder Yaroslav Hryshyn detailed the aircraft’s physical attributes, noting that the Sweetheart builds directly upon earlier fixed-wing models produced by the firm. The reconnaissance platform features a hand-launched design intended for deep intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance operations behind enemy lines.

The aircraft boasts an operational flight range exceeding 150 kilometers and remains airborne for up to three hours. According to manufacturing specifications, the system operates completely undetected from low altitudes of just 50 meters, while costing several times less than comparable reconnaissance technology to minimize financial loss if destroyed.
