Finn Wolfhard Directs First-Ever Music Video for George Harrison’s “Give Me Love”

A poignant piece of music history has been revitalized thanks to Finn Wolfhard, the acclaimed actor known for his role in Stranger Things. More than five decades after its release, George Harrison’s iconic song “Give Me love (Give Me Peace On Earth)” finally has an official music video, brought to life by the 22-year-old’s directorial vision.

the project marks a notable moment for Harrison’s vast discography, offering a fresh visual interpretation of a track originally featured on his 1973 album, Living in the Material World, released following the dissolution of The Beatles.

“It’s hard to put into words how grateful I am for this opportunity,” Wolfhard stated, expressing his deep respect for the late musician. “George Harrison has and will continue to be a huge inspiration to me, and his work will live on forever.”

The stop-motion video offers a visually stunning journey through the gardens of Friar Park, Harrison’s beloved english home where he resided from 1970 until his death in November 2001 at age 58 after a battle with cancer. The video is a clear homage to Harrison’s well-known passion for gardening.

Akash Jones served as animation director, with jason Baum and michael Wamara producing the project. Executive production was overseen by David Zonshine and Dhani Harrison, George and Olivia Harrison’s son.

Dhani Harrison shared his enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating, “Finn is one of the sweetest and most talented people I know of his generation, and he is the perfect person to direct a video for my dad. My dad would have loved this, and I hope his marvelous, creative, heartfelt ideas help this song reach another generation. Great job, Finn – we love you.”

Pro tip – Stop-motion animation involves physically manipulating objects in small increments between individually photographed frames, creating the illusion of movement when played sequentially.
