Figures from the United Nations also confirm this. At least 184 civilians were killed and 856 wounded in Ukraine in August, according to a UN report. After July, it is the month with the second highest number of civilian casualties this year. The vast majority of civilian casualties (91%) and damage to educational and medical facilities (95%) occurred in territory controlled by the Kyiv government.
Gerashchenko claims that further strikes on civilian objects can be expected. “Terrorist Putin believes that he will achieve his goals in this way.
