Emphasizing the importance of India, German Labor Minister Hubertus Heil said that Germany sees India as a particularly important partner on the issue of skilled labor migration.

Many new measures have been taken to ensure that Indian workers do not face problems in coming to Germany. The German government approved 30 new measures on 16 October. These also include those related to visas.
By the end of 2024, all visa related processes will be digitalized. This will reduce the time taken for visa approval. This means you will not have to wait long for the visa. Germany has already reduced the visa processing time for Indian workers from 9 months to two weeks.
Reaching out to Indian students
Germany’s Federal Labor Office is expanding its reach to Indian students already living in Germany. Its objective is to guide them about employment opportunities. Germany is also planning to provide German language classes to Indian students who want to live and work there. This is so that the language problem can be overcome.
Visa for 90 thousand every year
Germany has announced that it will give visas to 90 thousand skilled Indian workers every year. Earlier, it used to give visas only to 20 thousand skilled Indian workers. The German government is facing shortage of skilled people in the fields of technology, nursing etc. in its country.
