Germany: Robert Koch Institute publishes Covid-19 incidence data on 17 September

On September 17, the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) reports 11,022 new cases of Covid-19 infection, which is less than the previous day (12,925). Another 20 deaths from the corona were recorded per day. The nationwide 7-day incidence dropped to 74.7 (76.3). More than 52 million people in Germany have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19. 1551 patients with Covid are in intensive care units.

Since the start of the pandemic, 4,125,878 cases of the virus have been identified in Germany. This means that the number of cases compared with the previous day increased by 11,022 cases. In total, 92,857 people have died as a result of the Covid-19 disease since the start of the pandemic.

The data is based on a statement by the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), which receives information from the German regional health authorities. They provide updated information several times a day.
