## Germany Scholarships Awarded to Students at the University of Bremen – A Commitment to Achievement and Social Engagement
bremen, December 12, 2025 – The University of Bremen has awarded 126 germany Scholarships to students who demonstrate both academic excellence and a commitment to social responsibility.The scholarships provide financial support (€300/month for one year) and a comprehensive accompanying program.
A Success Story:
Professor Maren Petersen, Vice President for Teaching and Studies, highlighted the program’s success: “the Germany scholarships where awarded at our university for the first time in the winter semester of 2011/2012… Since the begining, a total of almost 1,800 scholarships have been awarded to talented and committed students – 15 years, 1,800 opportunities. We can proudly summarize today: The Germany scholarship is truly a success story!”
Funding & Selection:
The Deutschlandstipendium is jointly funded by the federal goverment and private sponsors – companies, associations, foundations, and individuals. Funding criteria include academic performance and social/community involvement. A scholarship council comprised of students and teachers makes the selections.Beyond financial aid, the program offers workshops focused on career and life
