Germany: The Robert Koch Institute releases data on the incidence of Covid-19 on 23 May

On May 23, the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) reports 6,714 new infections, which is less than the previous day (7,082). There were 82 corona deaths per day. The nationwide 7-day incidence dropped to 64.5 (66.8). In Thuringia alone, this figure is above 100. Already in five states, this figure is below 50. More than 32.6 million people in Germany have been vaccinated against Covid-19.

Since the start of the pandemic, 3,648,958 cases of the virus have been identified in Germany. This means that the number of cases in comparison with the previous day increased by 6,714 cases. In total, 87,380 people have died as a result of the Covid-19 disease since the start of the pandemic.
