Stephen Tarabalka is from the village of Korolivkov in Ukraine. The 29-year-old Air Force Major is considered one of Ukraine’s most courageous fighter pilots. He is said to have effectively shot down various Russian planes since Russia launched its war on Ukraine on Feb. 24. In this case, it is now reported that Major Stephen Darabalka was killed during the war last month.
According to the London Times, “Ukrainian warplane Tarabalka was shot dead last month after shooting down 40 Russian warplanes. He was called the ‘Ghost of Kyiv’. He was awarded the Order Of The Golden Star, Ukraine’s Best Medal for Bravery in War. Her helmet and glasses are currently up for auction in London. Tarabalka became world famous after shooting down 10 Russian planes on the first day of the Russian War. His plane was shot down in the March 13 attack, details of which have only recently been released.
