Danny Avdia is flourishing. Avdia’s wonderful momentum continued tonight (between Sunday and Monday) when he tied his career high with 21 points in Washington’s 92:102 victory over Memphis. The Israeli who broke his season high for the third time in a row (after 12 against Dallas and 13 against Utah) was 8 of 16 from the field, 4 of 7 from three, 1 of 3 from the free throw and added 5 assists, a steal and three turnovers in 34 minutes. All 21 points, by the way, were scored in the first three quarters.
Avdia’s potential is coming out and the Wizards are reeling off four straight wins – coincidentally or not – while the team’s star Bradley Beal is out.
