For the first time, researchers have released images and video footage of a giant iceberg that broke off from Antarctica last January. Named A81, the glacier has drifted nearly 150 kilometers away from Brunt, Antarctica.
The A81 Glacier covers an area larger than London, the capital of Britain. Scientists say that its size may be approximately 1550 square kilometers. It is predicted that this giant glacier, which is constantly being pushed by strong currents, may reach the Weddell Sea.
