A judge in Baltimore overturned the conviction of Said, who had been behind bars for more than two decades, yesterday (Monday). The story of Said, now 41 years old, came to public consciousness in 2014 thanks to the successful American podcast Serial by the American journalist Sarah Koenig. The podcast raised many doubts and question marks regarding the ways of the police investigation and the ways of conducting the trial and made many wonder if Saeed is really the murderer. Following the acquittal, Koenig announced that today (Tuesday) a new and concluding episode of the podcast will be recorded.
