Girona families allocate 27% of their income to the purchase of housing

These are data from a study published by idealista conducted by cross-referencing September 2022 sales prices, finance costs and estimated family income.

Only four capitals require an effort greater than a third of income to buy a home. Barcelona, ​​with 49.7%, absorbs the most family resources, followed by San Sebastian (46.8%), Madrid (41.3%) and Bilbao (37.3%). Next are Palma, which is right at the limit (33.3%) recommended by experts, Cádiz (31.9%), Vitoria (30.3%), Ceuta (29.7%), Málaga ( 27.8%) and Pamplona (27.8%).

Rents slow down

Another real estate study, in this case from the Fotocasa portal, points out one change in trend in the housing rental market. Although prices are still higher than a year ago, in the third quarter they experienced a slight setback compared to the second. According to the report, the average price is 10.9 euros per square meter per month, which represents a 2% decrease compared to the second quarter.

The price of rental flats in the regions of Girona is the second highest in Catalonia after that of Barcelona (15.5 euros per square meter per month), and much higher than what is paid in Tarragona (8.9) and Lleida (7.2).
