A third accident, also involving a passenger vehicle, occurred on a stretch of road affected by glacier-like ice near the village of Bednárec.
“We are currently responding to this accident, but we are also rescuing a car that went off the bridge near Horní Pěna. Another accident involving a passenger car on the glacier is near the village of Bednárec,” confirmed a fire department spokesperson.
Despite the multiple incidents, authorities report that, as of Thursday evening, no injuries have been sustained.However, officials are bracing for further complications. “However, it can be assumed that the situation on South Bohemian roads will worsen, and therefore we urge all drivers to be careful,” the police spokesman added.
