O people! Ask for forgiveness and repentance. Because through this Allah will forgive you. Almighty God is not merciless. He has no connection with his own creation. So he called his servants and asked him to repent and seek forgiveness like this:

And seek forgiveness from your Lord, then turn in repentance to Him. Indeed, my Lord is Merciful and Kind

And ask your Lord for forgiveness for your sins, Then return to Him; Indeed, my Lord is Most Merciful, Very loving.’ (Surah Hud: Verse 90)

No matter how many sins people have committed, whenever they turn to Him ashamed of what they have done, they will find His heart enlarged for them. Because there is no end to Allah’s affection and love for His creatures.

Nabiji sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam made this point clear with a fine example. He gives an example that-

‘If one of your camels is lost in a barren area without grass and water, and its food is on its back, and the person despairs of searching for it. Despondent about life, he lay down under a tree. Just then he saw his camel standing in front of him. As much as he will be happy at this time, God is much more happy than the wayward servant of God returns to the right path.’ (Bukhari 6308, Muslim 2744)

> Read Syedul Istegfar

O Allah, you are my Lord, there is no god but You, You created me, and I am Your servant, and I keep Your covenant and promise as much as I can. I seek refuge in You from evil. What I have done, I acknowledge your favor upon me and I confess my sin to you, so forgive me, for no one forgives sins except you.

Pronunciation: Allahumma anta rabbi la ilaha illa anta khalakktani wa ana abduka wa ana ala ahdika wa wadika mastatatu aujubika min sharri ma sanatu abuulaka binimatika alaiyya wa abuulaka bizambi fagfirli fa-innahu la yagfiruz junuba illa anta.

Meaning: ‘O Allah! You are my Lord. There is no god but you. You created me. I am your servant. I seek refuge in You from the evil of all my deeds. I acknowledge the favor you have bestowed on me. And I confess my sins. you forgive me Because no one can forgive sins except you.’

Rules: Make this istegfar in the morning and in the evening. Do not make the mistake of reciting this Istegfar after Fajr and Maghrib prayers. Because it has been said in the hadith – the person who recites this Istegfa in the morning and dies before evening, or recites it in the evening and dies before morning, he will go to Paradise. (Bukhari)

May Allah Ta’ala grant tawfiq to the Muslim Ummah to sincerely repent and return to Him. Amen.
