Gokulam Kerala FC won their second consecutive match at EMS Stadium, Kozhikode. Gokulam Kerala also defeated Royal Kashmir in the last home match. With the win, Gokulam Kerala FC moved up to the third position in the league. The club currently has a gap of 5 points with Punjab FC at the top of the points table.

The first half of the match was in the hands of Gokulam. Sergio Iglesias scored the goal by heading the ball from Vikas Saini into the net in the 21st minute for Gokulam, who launched an attack on Kenkre’s defense. But the second half saw Gokulam losing the rhythm he found in the first half. In the 57th minute, forward Rahul Raju left the field after receiving double yellow cards, which was a shock to the team.
The second half was in the hands of Kenkre FC. Kenkre tried to exploit the weaknesses of Gokulam, reduced to ten men, but the defensive line led by Amino Bauba and Pawan Kumar stood like a wall.
