Dubai: Gold prices in the UAE hit a three-month low on Monday. Gold prices also reflected the strengthening of the dollar and expectations that the US Federal Reserve will raise rates further to control inflation.
In the international market, the price was down 0.11 percent at $1,743.46 an ounce this morning. In the UAE, 24 carat gold was priced at AED 211.25 per gram this morning, while 22 carat gold was priced at AED 198.50 per gram. 21 carat gold is sold at 189.25 dirhams and 18 carat gold at 162.25 dirhams. Ten days ago on August 13, the price of 22 carat gold in UAE was 205.25 dirhams. As the price has reached below 200 dirhams, there has been a general rush in all the gold trading establishments in the UAE.

Gold price has decreased twice in Kerala today. If there was a decrease of 160 rupees in the morning, it decreased again by 200 rupees in the afternoon. With this, there has been a total drop of 360 rupees today alone. The current market price of one Pawan gold in Kerala is Rs 37,880.
Today’s market price of one gram of 22 carat gold has decreased by Rs.20 in the morning. 25 rupees decreased again in the afternoon.
