Lucknow: The summer special train running between Lucknow and Varanasi will now run till May 21. Senior DCM Rekha Sharma of Northern Railway Lucknow Division said that train 04217 Varanasi-Lucknow special will leave Varanasi at 6.25 am and reach Lucknow at 11.45 am. In return, train 04218 Lucknow-Varanasi special will depart from Charbagh at 4.30 pm and reach Varanasi at 9.50 pm. The train will stop at Babatpur, Jaunpur Junction, Shahganj, Akbarpur, Ayodhya Dham, Rudauli, Daryabad, Barabanki stations en route.
Passengers are sweating due to lateness of trains
In the scorching heat, passengers are sweating due to the delay in trains. The railway administration is shrugging off the complaint by arguing that there is repair work. It said that the train was rescheduled by four hours but was delayed by five hours. Moreover, train 01084 Gorakhpur-Mumbai special train arrived late by more than three hours. Train 13237 Patna-Kota Express was late by 2.30 hours, 01431 Pune-Gorakhpur Express by 6.40 hours, 05059 Howrah-Lalkuan Express by 11 hours.
