MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., December 23, 2023 – Unless you’re a student or recently snagged a Pixel phone, unlocking the full power of Google’s Gemini AI likely requires a subscription to its AI Pro tier. Free Google accounts offer limited access to select features, but Google is now offering a compelling incentive to upgrade: a 50% discount on its annual AI Pro subscription.
While a recent post on X from Gemini only highlighted the discount on the AI Pro plan, similar savings are available on nearly all Google One plans, with one exception.
The Basic plan, adding 100GB to your Google account storage,is now just $10 for the year-over half off its usual $20 annual price. The Premium plan, with a generous 2TB of storage, is available for $50, reduced from its standard $100 yearly cost.
However, these plans won’t increase your limits for using Gemini 3 Pro or provide additional AI credits. They simply expand your Google account storage, which can be shared with up to five family members.
The Google AI Pro (2TB) plan is currently discounted to $100 for a full year, representing a $100 reduction from its regular price. This subscription includes priority access to the latest Gemini model, higher rate limits for Gemini and Nano Banana Pro, enhanced features and filters in Google Photos, access to Whisk with Veo 3, and Google Home Premium Standard. It also boosts rate limits for other Google AI tools like Antigravity, Gemini CLI, and Code Assist.
No Discount on Ultra Tier
Regrettably, those seeking the highest level of access won’t find a similar deal on the Ultra tier AI, which currently costs $200 per month. The promotion is also not universally available.
This 50% off offer is exclusively for new users. Existing subscribers or those who have previously purchased Google AI Pro are unlikely to be eligible. Keep in mind that the plan will automatically renew at its original price after one year unless canceled.
You can access the Google One discount through this link.
Given that this is a limited-time offer from Google, it’s expected to expire within a few days, so acting quickly is advised.
