Google Rolls Out Comprehensive ‘Device Health & Support’ Dashboard to Pixel Phones
Table of Contents
A new centralized hub for Pixel phone diagnostics and assistance is now being deployed to a wider range of devices, replacing the older “Tips & support” feature. This update, following the introduction of AI Notification Summaries, Pixel VIPs, and the Journal app, aims to provide Pixel users with a “one-stop shop for understanding your phone’s health.”
Google is expanding access to its “Device health & support” dashboard, initially launched with the Pixel 10 series, to Pixel phones 6 through 9 with the November 2025 Feature Drop. The dashboard consolidates key information about a device’s operational status, offering users proactive insights and troubleshooting tools.
A Centralized Hub for Pixel Wellbeing
The new dashboard represents a significant shift in how Pixel users can monitor and maintain their devices. According to a company release, the feature replaces the previously existing “Tips & support” help page found at the bottom of the Settings app. This consolidation streamlines the process of accessing vital device information.
The functionality available within “Device health & support” varies depending on the specific Pixel model. However, the full suite of features includes:
- Need help with your Pixel: This offers a chatbot-like experience for immediate assistance.
- Looks good/Issue detected: This provides a quick overview of the device’s overall health, mirroring the functionality of the Security & privacy settings. A yellow exclamation mark will indicate pending updates, while a green checkmark signifies optimal condition with the message, “Your Pixel is in great shape!”
- Battery health: Detailed information about the battery’s current condition.
- Device temperature: Monitoring of the phone’s internal temperature.
- Storage: A clear breakdown of storage usage.
- Software update: Status of the latest software updates.
- Charging diagnostics: Tools to assess charging performance.
- Touch diagnostics: Tests to verify touchscreen responsiveness.
- Warranty: Information regarding the device’s warranty status.
- Contact support: Direct access to Google support channels.
Phased Rollout and Current Availability
While the full feature set is intended for Pixel 6-9 devices, the rollout is currently phased. One analyst noted that Pixel 7 Pro users who have not yet received the November 2025 update are currently seeing a limited view, including only Device temperature, Storage, and Software updates.
To ensure optimal performance of the “Device health & support” features, Google recommends that users verify their Device Health Services and Settings Services are up-to-date. This can be done by navigating to the Settings app, selecting the user’s name (under Google services), then “All services,” followed by “Privacy & security,” and finally “System services.”
The expansion of the “Device health & support” dashboard underscores Google’s commitment to providing Pixel users with proactive tools for managing and maintaining their devices, ultimately enhancing the overall user experience.
