Grant competition for projects aimed at sustainable development of agriculture

With the co-financing of the German Nature Conservation Union (NABU) and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), the “Competition for projects aimed at the sustainable development of agriculture” is launched. It is implemented within the framework of the “Development of Organic Agriculture in the Northern Communities of Armenia as an Incentive for Poverty Reduction and Biodiversity Conservation” (OFDNA) program.

The purpose of the grant competition is to contribute to the sustainable use of natural resources (soil, water, biodiversity).

The following villages are included in the program:

Lori region:

Atan, Bovadzor, Dzoragigh, Hagvi, Hobardzi, Karaberd, Karinj, Karmir Aghek, Lejan, Lori Berd, Lorut, Marts, Privolnoye, Shamut, Tsaghkashat, Tsater, Urut.

Tavush marz:

Aghavnavank, Berkaber, Chinchin, Ditavan, Hovk, Itsakar, Lusahovit, Navur, Tavush.

Gegharkunik marz:

Antaramej, Aygut, Dprabak, Kalavan-Barepat, Dzoravank.

The total amount of the grant is AMD 13,000,000.

The amount of the grant given to cooperatives can be 1,600,000 – 2,700,000 AMD, and up to 800,000 AMD for individuals. Programs submitted by cooperatives will have an advantage.

In case of winning the competition, the participant undertakes to make a personal contribution in the amount of one hundred percent of the money received from the grant (50 percent of the budget of the presented project is provided by the grant, and the other 50 percent or more must be provided by the participant).
