Great specifications for the new Xiaomi phone, “Redmi Note 12 Pro Speed Edition”

The Chinese company, Xiaomi, launched during its special event the fifth phone in the Redmi Note 12 series, the “Redmi Note 12 Pro Speed Edition”.

The new phone, which offers a 5,000 mAh battery, is charged at the same capacity as the Redmi Note 12 Pro, which is 67 watts, although its name suggests that it charges faster.

The Redmi Note 12 Pro Speed also looks similar to the Pro version, in which Redmi changed the design of the rear camera section slightly and moved the Redmi brand from bottom to top.

The new phone looks like Poco phones, so it wouldn’t be surprising for the company to launch it under the Poco brand in some markets outside of China. It should be noted that the Pro Speed version shares dimensions and battery capacity with the Pro version, but it is slightly lighter.

The two phones differ in processor and camera specifications, as the Pro version contains a Dimesnity 1080 processor and a 50-megapixel main rear camera, while the Pro Speed version contains a Snapdragon 778G processor and a 108-megapixel main rear camera with a Samsung ISOCELL HM2 sensor without Optical Image Stabilizer. There is also a second 8-megapixel camera for ultra-wide imaging, and a third 2-megapixel camera for close-up photography.

Other features include a 6.67-inch FHD + OLED screen with a frequency rate of 120 Hz, a 16-megapixel front camera, and a fingerprint sensor in a side button. The phone supports 5G networks and NFC technology.

Unlike the Redmi Note 12 Pro, which runs on the MIUI 13 user interface based on the Android 12 system, the new phone runs on the MIUI 14 user interface based on the Android 13 system. It comes in black, blue, green and offers three memory options: 6 GB / 128 GB, 8 GB / 256 GB, and 12 GB / 256 GB. The first option will be sold at a price equivalent to 245 USD, at a price equivalent to 260 USD for the second option, and at a price equivalent to 285 USD for the third option.

The Redmi Note 12 Pro Speed Edition will be sold via the Chinese Xiaomi website, and there is currently no information about when the phone will be launched in the global markets.
