GTA 6 Launch Trailer Details Jason’s Military Past and Lucia’s Bond

Rockstar Games released a launch trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI, showcasing cinematic action, Jason’s military background, and a shower scene with Lucia. The title arrives November 19 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, featuring an original score composed by French electronic duo Justice.

The launch trailer for Grand Theft Auto 6 brings fresh details about the open-world crime epic just over a month before its scheduled release. Set in Vice City, the footage highlights the bond between protagonists Jason and Lucia as they navigate a criminal conspiracy.

Jason’s Military Past and the Central Romance

The trailer opens with narration from Jason shedding light on his history. I got in some trouble in the army, Jason says in the trailer as detailed by IGN. Didn’t leave on the best of terms.

Additional flashes show what appear to be flashbacks to Jason’s time in the army, where he wades through water with a military unit and leaps out of a helicopter during a mission. Meanwhile, the trailer features Jason, accompanied by Jason mentioning they stuck together through everything.

Justice Composes the Original Score and Debuts New Single

Music anchors the new trailer with the debut of Flower in a Hurricane, a single by French electronic duo Justice featuring Tame Impala, SZA, and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard. Justice composed the original score for Grand Theft Auto VI, with selections having appeared in earlier promotional teasers.
