CLEVELAND — Major League Baseball announced Tuesday that in-market streaming subscriptions for 20 clubs — including the Cleveland Guardians — are available starting today through the MLB app, effectively eliminating blackout restrictions for local games.

Guardians Fans Gain Access to Every Game with New Streaming Option

The new CleGuardians.TV service delivers all local Cleveland Guardians games directly to fans, removing a long-standing frustration for baseball enthusiasts.

  • In-market streaming subscriptions are now available for the Guardians through CleGuardians.TV.
  • Subscribers can stream all local games without traditional blackout restrictions.
  • MLB will produce and distribute local Guardians games starting in 2026.
  • Subscription options include monthly and seasonal plans, with a bundled option for out-of-market games.

For Guardians fans, the direct-to-consumer option, branded CleGuardians.TV, allows subscribers within the club’s home television territory to stream every local game. This means no more scrambling for alternative viewing options when a game is blacked out on traditional television. The service represents a significant win for accessibility, bringing the action directly to fans’ screens.

How CleGuardians.TV Works

MLB will both produce and distribute local Guardians games beginning in 2026. According to MLB, the service “essentially removes local blackouts” by delivering games directly to fans within the viewing area. This move is part of a broader effort to enhance the fan experience and provide more flexible viewing options.

Subscription pricing remains consistent with last season:

  • $99.99 per season
  • $19.99 per month

Fans can also bundle a club’s local streaming service with an MLB.TV out-of-market subscription for:

  • $199.99 per season
  • $39.99 per month

MLB stated that this bundle offers a 20% savings compared to purchasing both services separately, providing a cost-effective solution for fans who want access to both in-market and out-of-market games.

Spring Training games for clubs whose local broadcasts are produced by MLB – including Cleveland – will be available for free streaming to fans with a valid MLB.com account when available.

“We are pleased to continue expanding MLB’s local media services in 2026, ensuring that fans in each location will be able to enjoy another memorable baseball season on the platform of their choice,” said Noah Garden, MLB Deputy Commissioner, Business & Media. “We are proud of the award-winning production MLB has offered Clubs while increasing the reach of the games, enhancing production features, and offering greater access to the players and game. Additionally, we are listening to our fans who want blackouts eliminated. MLB’s in-market streaming option allows us to remove a point of friction for the fans.”
