Gold mine landslides are increasing in the Siguiri prefecture. The day of Thursday, December 14, 2023 was once again deadly following two (2) successive landslides that occurred in Kintinian in a former SAG quarry and in Fatoya.
Oumar KABA, 25 years old, and Abdoulaye Diallo, 35 years old, both (2) married and fathers of two (2) children, lost their lives in these abandoned mines, respectively in Kintinian and Fatoya.
The first was buried the same day and the second was brought back to Dabola where he came from.
