In the near future, the informant will transfer to the human rights project Gulagu.net another video archive with recordings of torture of prisoners in the colonies in Krasnoyarsk, Transbaikalia and the Primorsky Territory. The founder of the project, Vladimir Osechkin, announced this on Tuesday, December 14, to the Telegram channel “Caution, news”.

The volume of the archive is 200 gigabytes. These videos will show that torture is taking place “not only in Saratov, but also in other regions,” Osechkin said. “We now have concrete evidence and videos with crimes that are committed not only by the FSIN, but also by the FSB,” he stressed.

Criminal cases against FSIN officers and Osechkin’s wanted list

In early October, the Gulagu.net project began publishing videos received from a former prisoner of one of the colonies, programmer Sergei Savelyev. After being released on parole (parole), he managed to take out a video archive with torture of prisoners. After the publication, Savelyev himself went to France, where he asked for political asylum. In Russia, he was put on the wanted list. The founder of Gulagu.net, Vladimir Osechkin, was also put on the wanted list.

At the same time, against the background of the publication of video archives of torture on November 25, FSIN director Alexander Kalashnikov was dismissed. The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation announced the initiation of criminal cases against employees of the Federal Penitentiary Service on the facts of sexual violence and abuse of office with the use of violence. According to the Prosecutor General’s Office, on the facts of the use of violence in places of deprivation of liberty, which occurred in the institutions of the Federal Penitentiary Service in the Khabarovsk Territory, Belgorod Region, Irkutsk, Saratov Regions, more than 35 criminal cases are being investigated.
