A shooting attack occurred on Monday evening at Kibbutz Ma’ale Gilboa, situated on the summit of Mount Gilboa. Fortunately, no casualties were reported. The terrorists apparently carried out the shooting from the area around the separation fence before fleeing the scene. Palestinian reports indicate that responsibility for the attack has been claimed by the Islamic Jihad and the “Burkin Groups” faction, which is part of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades terrorist organization. Earlier on the same day, security guards stationed at the Gilboa crossing noticed a suspect carrying a gun on the Palestinian side of the crossing. They fired a warning shot, but the suspect managed to escape in a vehicle.
