Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and UN Secretary General discussed the situation in Ukraine, Afghanistan, Syria and Libya during the UN General Assembly. This was reported in the office of the secretary general.
“The Secretary General and the Foreign Minister discussed cooperation between Russia and the UN on a wide range of issues. The parties also exchanged views on the latest developments in Afghanistan, Libya, Syria and Ukraine, ”the UN said.
Earlier, Lavrov met with the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell. They talked about building a more predictable and stable relationship between the EU and Russia.
