Ernakulam: Former Indian cricketer Sreesanth has said that the Indian cricket team would have won a few more World Cups if he had played in Kohli’s team.
Sreesanth played 27 Tests, 53 ODIs and 10 T20Is for the Indian cricket team. With that, he has captured a total of 169 wickets. Sreesanth has mainly played for the Indian team that won the 2007 T20 World Cup and the 2011 ODI World Cup series.
2007 T20 World Cup final, he took the crucial wicket of Pakistan at the crucial stage. That catch won the trophy for the Indian team.
He faced a ban from playing cricket after being accused of spot-fixing in IPL cricket. He played domestic cricket after a seven-year ban. He announced his retirement from all formats of cricket last March.
In this case, he said that the Indian cricket team would have won a few more World Cups if he had played in Kohli’s team.
Sreesanth said, “If I had played in Virat Kohli’s team, India would have won a few more World Cups. It is good to follow some tricks while playing. My coach taught me how to bowl a yorker in tennis. If you ask Bumrah, he will say it is very easy.”
