Hadestown extends West End Run with Electrifying New Cast

A haunting reimagining of ancient myth, teh Tony Award-winning musical Hadestown will continue its critically acclaimed run at London’s Lyric Theater through December 13, 2026, accompanied by the announcement of a dynamic new company set to take the stage.The show’s continued success signals a strong commitment to the London theatre scene and promises to captivate audiences for years to come.

A Third Year and Beyond for the Underworld Hit

Hadestown, which seamlessly blends modern American folk with the sounds of New Orleans jazz, offers a fresh outlook on the timeless stories of Orpheus and eurydice, and hades and Persephone. Entering its third year in February, the production’s longevity is underscored by the caliber of its incoming cast – a clear indication of its enduring appeal. According to a company release, this new ensemble is a “message of intent” that the show will be a fixture on the West End for its fourth birthday and beyond.

Rising Stars and Seasoned Veterans Join the Cast

Leading the new company,beginning performances on March 10,2026,are Bethany Antonia (House of the Dragon) and Marley Fenton (Hamilton) as the star-crossed lovers Eurydice and Orpheus. The roles of Hades and Persephone will be powerfully portrayed by Alastair Parker (Matilda, Oliver!) and Rachel Adedeji (The X Factor, Thriller Live!), respectively. Adding a vibrant energy to the pivotal role of Hermes is Olivier Award-winner Clive Rowe (Guys & Dolls, Company).

The full company also includes:

  • The Fates: Spike Maxwell, Melanie Bright, and Laura rae
  • The Workers: Gabriela Benedetti, Femi Akinfolarin, Michelle Andrews, Ollie Bingham, and Sebastian Lim-Seet
