LOS ANGELES, January 10, 2026 — Hailey Bieber has publicly denied claims that she briefly reposted a TikTok video criticizing her marriage to Justin Bieber, calling the online speculation “really bored” and insisting she never shared the clip. The video accused Justin of “abuse” and “mediocrity.”
Social Media Storm Over Bieber Marriage
The controversy erupted after screenshots circulated online appearing to show the video in her TikTok reposts before allegedly disappearing.
Addressing the situation on her Instagram Stories on January 10, Hailey wrote, “Hey! I know you guys who live on the internet are really bored, but I didn’t repost any video speaking on my relationship. Have a beautiful Saturday!” The statement makes it clear she isn’t interested in having her private life dissected by strangers.
Users on X (formerly Twitter) and TikTok flooded the platforms with screenshots and recordings, claiming to show the video appearing in her reposts tab. The original TikTok, posted on January 8 by user @bdr3391, criticizes what the creator calls “tolerant co-dependent” relationships, citing Hailey and Justin as a prime example.
“Most long-term relationships that we romanticise and congratulate only work because the woman is a tolerant co-dependent,” the creator states in the video. “And when I say tolerant, I mean she tolerates mediocrity, abuse, doing the majority of domestic and emotional labor, in exchange for being in a relationship. And that is a contract that I am opting out of.”
The TikTok creator further alleges that “Justin is an addict” and that “an addicted partner is always an abusive partner,” arguing that such a dynamic prevents a truly equal relationship. The video suggests Hailey “tolerates that abuse,” sparking debate among social media users about whether the repost was accidental, a glitch, or never occurred.

This isn’t the first time Hailey has faced intense scrutiny regarding her relationship with Justin, which has been under public observation since they first became Instagram official years ago. The couple married in a New York City civil ceremony in 2018, followed by a larger wedding with over 150 guests the following year. They welcomed their son, Jack Blues, in August 2024.
A source told PEOPLE that navigating their “challenges” has strengthened their bond, describing them as “soulmates.” The source added that becoming parents has “deepened their bond” and that Jack is “the centre of everything for them.”
Hailey has previously expressed frustration with the constant speculation surrounding her marriage. In a May 2025 interview with Vogue, she said, “Well, I thought seven years in it would’ve already, and it hasn’t,” adding, “You would think after having a child, people would maybe move on, chill out a little bit, but no.”
Is the speculation about the Biebers’ marriage justified? The couple has consistently refuted rumors of discord, emphasizing their commitment to each other and their family.
