Recently back on the pitch after recovering from his cancer, Sébastien Haller has found his way back to the nets.

Franco-Ivorian Borussia Dortmund striker Sébastien Haller scored a hat-trick in eight minutes in a friendly match won against FC Basel (6-0) on Friday, continuing his comeback after testicular cancer.

After playing a few minutes for his big comeback in another friendly match against Fortuna Düsseldorf (5-1 victory), the center-forward came into play after half-time in the match against Basel, played in Marbella in Spain, where Dortmund is on an internship.

These two meetings are the first for the 28-year-old striker in a Borussia jersey. His testicular cancer was diagnosed last July, just days after signing his contract with Dortmund from Ajax Amsterdam. He then underwent two operations and followed four cycles of chemotherapy.

Against Basel on Friday, Haller scored his first goal in his new colors by converting an 81st-minute penalty. He doubled the bet five minutes later by taking a cross from Julian Brandt, before offering himself a hat-trick two minutes later following a corner.

Dortmund, who sit sixth in the Bundesliga after 15 rounds, resume their season at home against Augsburg on January 22.
