Egyptian festival performer Hamo Becca was released from prison today, December 28, 2025, after a court reduced his sentence, and instantly took to Facebook to express his gratitude. The artist, known for his energetic performances, shared a message of thanks with his supporters, signaling a new chapter after a period of legal challenges.


Becca had been imprisoned after being found in possession of a white weapon on September 27, 2025. He was initially sentenced to one year in prison and a fine of 500 pounds by the Qasr al-Nil Court, but the ruling was appealed.
