The tenth round of League A South continued today (Friday) and we can say that the surprise of the season is Hapoel Herzliya, who won again today, this time 0:1 over MS Dimona, and kept the first place. In addition, Kfar Shalem won 0:1 over Yavne, Maccabi Herzliya won 1:3 over Kaseifa, Shimshon Tel Aviv ran over Kfar Kasem 1:5, Eilat defeated the Jordan Valley, Hapoel Marmorak registered a dramatic victory over Beitar Tel Aviv/Bat Yam And Modi’in and Sha’arim separated by sharing points.
MS Dimona – Hapoel Herzliya 1:0
Erez Benudis’s team will enjoy another week at the top. A single and dramatic goal by Yarin Moghrabi in the 90th minute was enough for the guest to continue their incredible start to the season. On the other side, Dimona can be very disappointed, after they made big purchases in the summer with the aim of moving up to the national league, when the team is 11 points away from their opponent today.
Hapoel Kfar Shalem – Maccabi Yavne 0:1
After five wins in a row, Yavne today recorded an away loss to Noam Shoham’s team. In an unremarkable game of late, Abdullah Abu Abd’s goal in the 55th minute determined the outcome of the game. In the 83rd minute, Philippe Mane was sent off for the host, but this did not prevent his team from maintaining the advantage and taking three points from this game.
Maccabi Herzliya – Ironi Kashifa 1:3
Elad Braun’s team did not have much difficulty against Kasife and after seven minutes Dor Alberman made it 0:1. Idan Vakanin doubled the score in the 25th minute. The guest still had time to shrink five minutes before the end of the first half with a goal by Moed Abu Sheldam, but Eyal Strachman closed the story and made it 1:3 to Herzliya, keeping his team at a small distance from its city rival in first place, when the two teams will meet in the next round, after the upcoming arm break.
Ironi Modi’in – Maccabi Shaareim 0:0
The newcomer did not deliver the goods in front of Oren Crispin and his apprentices. The distribution of points in the game reflected the game of both teams and luckily for them, the arm break came at a good time. Both teams can breathe easy as usual, Beitar Tel Aviv/Bat Yam and Kfar Qasem did not pass them by.
Samson Tel Aviv – Samson Kfar Kasem 1:5
Haim Sirotkin’s group did not feel sorry for the scorer, who looks very bad. The guest got on the board first in the 12th minute from a goal by Yoav Liberos, but the advantage lasted only two minutes when Stav Ben Aharon equalized. Aharon added a pair (38′), Omer Halevi, Ibrahim Gobra and Ron Gabbai added and didn’t really give the guest a chance.
Hapoel Bekat Jordan – Bnei Eilat 3:1
Only the second loss of the season for the Jordan Valley after already in the 8th minute they found themselves with ten players, after the goalkeeper of Ofek Ivri saw the red card. Michel Khoury entered the goal. The coach of the host team decided to put Yuval Oren in the goal and take Khouri back to the field, when the move did work and Khouri scored his team’s goal, but Yanai David, Daniel Elmelah and Adam Ozeri gave the southerners the victory.
Maccabi Urban Ashdod – MK Jeremiah Holon 1:1
The two teams separated in a distribution of points that does not serve either of them. Zvika Levy’s team was stopped after two consecutive victories, against the draw queen of the league. The guest recorded her seventh draw result (!) of the season. Ashdod scored first from the feet of Shai Dagan (33′), but Gal Sapir (66′) equalized.
Hapoel Marmorak – Beitar Tel Aviv/Bat Yam 0:1
It went hard for the host, but Shahar Speyer scored a dramatic victory in the 88th minute and thus stopped the dismal period of the team from Rehovot. On the other side, Erez Belfer’s team is in the penultimate place, and they will have to think during the break what to do after collecting only four points alone this season, similar to Samson Kfar Kasem who locks the table.
